Rehabilitation project for Gualta Town Hall. Girona

The project stands for the renovation of the actual city hall of the town of Gualta, Girona, located at the city centre at the Mayor Plaza No. 1.
The proposal looks to cover the new needs for administration spaces as well as new spaces for the public located at ground floor.
The building is designed taking care of the bad orientation, towards the north, that already has, creating a new internal and cover courtyard at the south side which could contain the main access flow and the main stairs.

The building is structured in three levels with three different activities. At ground floor we located the public attention office and the multi purpose hall. At first floor all the administration activities are concentrated, such as the new major office, the main acts hall and the rest of working spaces. Finally at second floor, two new flats are designed, with an independent access from Major Road. In those flats the space optimization is achieved with sliding doors and American kitchens that allow flexibility to the space.
