As a public building, the headquarters of the local police shared different functions like point of care, information to citizens reporting incidents and crimes, emergency service and public order and very significant burden of assistance and information to citizens.
In this case, the building has an auditorium of municipal management that offers cultural and educational service at the complex.
The recently constructed buildings in Catalonia by city police and the Autonomous Police express these functions in a minimal language with clear lines and simple and compact geometry.
The proposal is based on the type consecrated, and from the plant distribution, the volumes generated a box open to the public: the main facade is in glass and the other opaque with stone. The lick of solar protection system and the windows of the side walls emphasize the horizontality of the building. The image that I want to convey is that of an iconic public building, friendly and opens relationship with citizens.
