Refurbishment and extension works of the Local Police Station of Castell-Platja d’Aro and S’Agaró

The object of the basic and executive project is to carry out the interior reform and extension works of the Local Police Station in Castell - Platja d'Aro i S'Agaró, (Girona).
The building, which is more than 10 years old, has maintained its correct operation at all times, but the needs of the local police force make it advisable to renovate the interior and bring some of the interior spaces to an extension of the construction on the top floor.
The overall concept of the reform and extension is to maintain the external volume of the existing construction, reducing as much as possible the visual impact that the incorporation of the new spaces may entail.
In this sense, and to improve integration in the environment, the extension will be within the existing volumetry on the second floor in the area of the existing pergola.
Regarding the interior distribution, small-scale distribution changes are proposed on the ground floor and first floor.
