Preliminary Study of Los Mostenses Square, Madrid, Spain.
The proposal consists in the analysis of various development options for the market, the parking area and Los Mostenses Square with the aim of finding the best technical and economic proposal.
4 intervention options are proposed. The first option is based on the improvement of the public space and urbanization of the square and the refurbishment of the facade of an office building located at one end of the block. The second option includes the refurbishment of the market façade and the habilitation of 1,500 square meters for new uses. The third option includes the integral reform of the office building and finally, the fourth where the total demolition of the current market is proposed for the creation of a large public space, a new semi-underground market with a new underground parking.
