The aim of the design of the project is to guide it towards the user, to be considerate of the place, the landscape, and to establish a form, a structure ordered by the Hospital without conferring a formal and spatial staticism, and at the same time with a modular criteria and flexibility that allows internal modifications without affecting the activity.
The design has been oriented towards the particular conditions and demands of each type of patient according to their age, gender and the services of which they are users, contemplating the environmental variables, which are not usually expressed in the functional programs.
The proposed architectural model is organized on the basis of two parallel galleries, of external and internal circulation, which give rise to three bands of construction from South to North: the first one destined to the main access and the units and services destined to External Consultations; the second and central, to the Treatment and Diagnosis Services, and those units that serve both outpatients and inpatients and therefore require a double connection with circulations; the third, linked to internal circulations (vertical and horizontal), is used at the higher levels of Central Treatment and Diagnosis Services and at its lower level with road contact, Emergency and General Services, such as Laundry.
