Public facilities and green areas in Teià, between Can Barrera and Sant Berger. Preliminary study

Within the framework of the new Comprehensive Plan of Teià, various proposals for the improvement and sustainable growth of the urban center have been presented. One of these aims to connect the center of Teià, through the Can Barrera area, with the facilities area and the Sant Berger housing development. The project involves developing an area west of the Sant Berger stream, up to the Doctor Barrera stream.
On the eastern side of the site, we find the Sant Berger stream sports center, with a soccer field and outdoor municipal swimming pool, and the Turó d'en Baldiri secondary school. The project envisions expanding this center with new facilities such as a sports hall and an indoor swimming pool.
In the northern part, where the land rises from the facilities area toward the Parque de la Cordillera Litoral and Turó d'en Baldiri, the proposal is to protect and conserve the forest and create trails by signposting and equipping some of the existing paths to connect the facilities with the cemetery area and the entrance to the natural park.
The project includes a greenway-style pedestrian route connecting the center of Teià and the Can Barrera area with Sant Berger, passing under the cemetery and reaching the facilities area.
