Competition. Detached building for a Meeting Point. Competition, 1st prize

This project forms part of a rehabilitacion program for the Camp Clar neighbourhood located at the west of Tarragona, Spain. A public relation space is created through a green plaza, destinated for the exterior activities, and protected and isolated form their irregular context by a perimetral tree barrier.

The volumes containing the rest of the program are placed over a flat plataform with a strong and clear geometry, organizing the space through three rectangular clear volumes, which respond to the previous program. The spaces generated between these volumes become the main acces and circulation areas of the building.

At ground floor we placed the spaces with more connection to the public space such as the restaurant area, central kitchen, the multi purpose hall and dressing rooms. At first floor the kitchen and dance classrooms are located, as well as the multi-function offices. Finally at second floor the sound studios, general offices and meeting rooms are designed. Two generous terraces, one covered and one open, are accesed from this level as a continuous elements of the activites of the building. On the rooffloor are centralized all the required installation spaces.
