Previous study for an auditorium in the Town hall courtyard of Calonge, Spain.

The project is based on the use of the Calonge Town Hall courtyard.
The building where there was a school before, was small for its new use as a town hall, and also they needed a new Auditorium and one greater Plenary Hall.
Cover the courtyard was the solution to deploy the new auditorium with a capacity of 200 attendees.
The choice of a wood and glass skin allows maintaining the perception of its original façade and its characteristic of open and lighted space.
The creation of a basement was necessary to install the new Chamber and the annexes of services and support. This new level creates a new relationship with outer space, allowed both spaces, Auditorium and Chamber, to have independent access respect of the Town Hall.
