Expansion of the headquarters of the Gamon-Medina Foundation. Cultural facility in Calonge i Sant Antoni

The object of this project is the construction of a building for cultural use (exhibition spaces) integrated into the architectural and landscape ensemble currently existing in Sant Antoni de Calonge, in a property in front of the sea, in the Puig de les Cadiretes area.
The design concept is that of a MUSEUM UNDER THE GARDEN, which gives the existing house the prominence it deserves and preserves the landscape values of the site.
The new exhibition space is defined in the first place as a container for the works of art in the collection: paintings and sculptures; it also includes a multimedia room and complementary uses: storage, wardrobe, lockers and access control, toilets, reception / customer service, shop, cafeteria etc.
The contents of the collection will be separated between the 2 floors, according to the air conditioning needs of the spaces and functional and accessibility aspects.
