Camping Resort Sènia Mont-roig Preliminary Study – Masterplan Concept

The object of the preliminary study is the conceptual design of a camping resort in an area of 14.28Ha, located near the Pixerota Beach. The complex is organized based on a diagonal axis that goes from the main road access (park-parking, reception) towards the beach. On one side of the axis a water park is planned and on the other the campsite / bungalow area.
The bungalow area is organized into different zones, each with its own leisure and recreation center (swimming pool, playground). Each zone is identified with a different landscape. Thematic concepts can be REGIONS OF THE WORLD (in line with the concept of the water park, where the attractions reproduce iconic places from different parts of the world): Mediterranean, Mexico, Africa, the East, etc., or ECOSYSTEMS (in the tradition of the Sènia campsites of interpreting the landscapes of the place): dunes, wetland, pinewood, orchard, vineyard, olive grove, etc.
On the sides, towards the new road and the two ravines, green areas are arranged, like dune cordons. They are designed both as a visual filter and protection against possible floods, creating a coastal landscape that is not alien to the area; it is a landscape that (re)naturalizes the boundaries of the land, inspired by the typical landscape of the coast.
Close to the beach, outside the complex, we propose to complement the resort with a beach club with a swimming pool on the roof.
