Castell Montgrí campsite: improvement project for the pool area, solarium and terraces. Preliminary study

The Castell Montgrí campsite is a model facility for its integration into the natural environment. Located 1.3 km from the beach, on the edge of the PEIN zone, the campsite is an inhabited forest. The campsite's facilities and services are hidden in a green mass, with minimal visual impact on the landscape.
The exception is the large activity area that surrounds the main pool: the Panorama area. It is a clearing in the middle of the forest, which concentrates the restaurants, the games room, the stage and other facilities. The Panorama area needs to be reorganized and find its own concept, consistent with the nature of the campsite.
The mission of the prevliminary study is to improve the outdoor spaces from a functional point of view (access, circulation, zoning of uses), landscape (integration in the natural environment, own visual image, character of the place, materials etc.) and service offer (incorporating new functions).
The proposal has as its concept the GREEN SKIN: the intention of the project is to "renaturalize" the surroundings of the pool, to transform the hard parts of the large esplanade into areas with shade, vegetation and a more integrated treatment, with natural materials.
