Preliminary Study and Conceptualization. Residential and Tourist Resort “Balneario de Jafre”, Gerona. Spain

The land and the existing unfinished buildings represent an important asset and a basis for developing a project adapted to the current market demand. Currently in the Empordà it is not easy to find similar land: the entire Empordà region is a consolidated destination of high level, an attractive seal of quality such as Provence (France) or Tuscany (Italy). In this area, having 14 hectares and an infrastructure already built on the land is a great advantage and an opportunity.
The proposal tries to take advantage of the potential of the land, betting on traditional values, exclusivity or uniqueness and the high level of services, finishes and landscape treatment.
The complex will be a town with architectural typologies inspired by old urban centers of the Empordanet, with traditional materials and construction techniques and with eco-design criteria.
We propose to transform this area into a residential / tourist resort with a sustainable and eco-efficient vision and with an active use of the landscape (orchards, vineyards and gardens as part of a lifestyle). To increase its attractiveness, we also propose a package of services and amenities taking advantage of the free spaces and some of the equipment provided for in the initial project.
