Visitor parking garden for the Gamón-Medina Foundation in Sant Antoni de Calonge

In the area called “Les Cadiretes”, in the surroundings of the Gamón‐Medina Foundation and the recently renovated single-family home on Serra de Corb Street, there is a plot classified as public facilities, owned by the Calonge i Sant Antoni City Council.
The City Council's intention is to enable visitor parking on this plot for the Gamón‐Medina Foundation, located right in front, on the other side of the access road. This public use can have a great impact on the private residential building and it is necessary to adequately design the parking lot to ensure good separation of functions, avoid direct visual contact and ensure the necessary privacy for the home.
At the same time, it should be noted that the land has been used as a material collection area and alternative access, during the civil works on Serra del Corb Street. By using it, the homeowner has acquired the commitment to return the land, at the end of the works, in the same state as it was originally in, replanting the removed trees and the hedge along the access road.
The parking garden is designed with landscape and environmental criteria, as a soft intervention, recovering the landscape and creating of a green filter.
