Competition. Draft Construction of the "Anella Mediterránia" of the Mediterranean Games of Tarragona. 2017. 2nd. Area of Intervention: Mediterranean Square

This square is the main anella access, a new public space with pavement and vegetation, perpendicular to the Avenue of the Games.
It includes access to the two facilities.
To the north, a green stripe separates the square from the artificial Lake. This band is a filter that allows the visual connection between them. We propose a space witn native shrubs and trees of average height. To the south, a green rest area is proposed. Here the vegetation will be denser to provide shade in the square. Here we've proposed Arbutus and Olive trees, coinciding with one of the bands of low vegetation that fragment and structure paving.
The proposal was developed in conjunction with the practices SET engineers, Factors of Paisatge and Aquambiente.
