Ideas project for the Llibertat square in Calonge, Girona.

Sant Antoni is a population of the Coast Brava and an emblematic tourist destination of the Catalan coast. In the centre of the population, is situated the Square of Llibertat, a public space of great importance also for the presence of the Church of Saint Antoni of Calonge.
The intervention wants to recognise the place and look for the maximum references to the sea that it is only few metres far. The square is structured through two blue tapes as a walks until the sea reinforced aligning trees and is creates a plate of water as a reference to the water of the sea, which formalises also how a mirror of water continuous to the volume of the Church.
The rest of the square orders with some transversal stripes formed by the grouping of the main urban elements, illumination, banks, baskets, stripes of grass and trees. In such a way that the spaces comprised between these blue stripes and transversal elements, place different possible activities, as a children games area, tracks of petanque, zone of sculptures and zones to stay.
