Square Joaquim Bau, Tortosa. Tarragona.

The project plot is the square Joaquim Bau, situated in the city of Tortosa in the province of Tarragona. The square Joaquim Bau is a public space of reference in the district because the proximity of sportive equipments existent and in project.
The executive project of the new sportive complex and of the underground parking down the square offers us the opportunity to modify the space in a place of greater quality free of cars, a place of meeting and connection.
The square is formed of a group of three elements or main areas:
1. a platform base of hard paving (slabs of concrete) with two colours stripes which accompany pedestrians for the main routes guiding him to the entries of the buildings and to the stadium;
2. zones of soft paving - sauló.
3. green stripes parallels to the future façade of the sportive complex with several species of grasses, flowers and trees. We put in the square also some metallic grid "boxes" with bamboo that allow us to dissemble the ventilation of the underground parking and mark totems in the extensive horizontal space of the square giving a general vision even more green and natural.
In the exit of the parking we preview some elements like pergola with vertical wood slats, similar to the used in the swimming pool and in the administrative buildings, to look for a same identity for the entire project.
