Landscape and Environmental Restoration of the Illa Gran de La Rubina, Roses. Girona, Spain

The restoration of the Illa Gran de la Rubina is framed in the context of the Puerto Canadell - Roses Special Plan, as a complementary proposal aimed at achieving the objectives of environmental protection.
The scope of this Special Plan is surrounded by the Ampurdán Wetlands Natural Park, that is, a natural environment with great environmental and landscape value, highly protected.
The restoration proposal of the Illa Gran de la Rubina aims to develop its environmental potential as a bird sanctuary and refuge for other animal species, while protecting the plant species that characterize it, the salicorneas that occupy its lower side and tries to obtain the maximum benefit for fauna, flora and landscape with the idea of promoting biodiversity as a priority.
