Preliminary Study for the central plaza of the Plaza Mostenses area, Madrid. Spain.
The central square is the nerve center and space of excellence within the architectural set.
We propose an area with static activities or "Living Area" with outdoor art exhibitions and an office for the city council.
In the lower part at the market access, an outdoor gastronomic space is proposed for itinerant activities.
The pavements will be of draining type and for the vegetation will be used autochthonous species, of low maintenance and low hydric requirement.
The trees consist of a palm grove in pots strategically located on the structure of the market.
