Single-family home in the historic center of Peralada. Reform and expansion

The project aims to reform and expand a single-family house located in the walled area (historic center) of Peralada.

From the viewpoint of interior layout, the project seeks to simplify the layout and the unify the levels of the different parts of the current construction.
The project proposes a new main access, from the street directly to the patio, from which you will access the different rooms through the newly created porch. This way, the patio takes the stage as a central element of the house, connecting the majority of the rooms and serving as an outdoor corridor or gallery.
Aiming to create an accessible itinerary, we propose to regulate the levels of the ground floor to have one single level, allowing access to the entire floor for people with reduced mobility; In addition to these criteria, a double room is also planned on the ground floor.
The rehabilitation takes into consideration the historical values of the construction within the historical core environment. For this reason, it refers to the character, the structure of the country and the construction materials of the current building.
