Single family house in Matosinhos. Oporto, Portugal.

This building rehabilitation project intended to living is located in França Júnior street, numer 451, in Matosinhos city, Oporto, in the north of Portugal.
The neighborhood is pretty consolidated, with a "quarteiräo" building structure and classic portuguese façades. The remodeling of the façade is based in the rhythmic lines of the adjacent building, being reinterpreted to a contemporary language based on wood and glass. The interior structure of trusses is made visible in the façade in order to invade the living with light and new life.
The original characteristics of the old shop's interior layout are respected and diafanized locating the common spaces in this floor, which end on the interior garden, when there's a swimming pool and a small building to guests.
The higher floor has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and a little terrace that faces the façade.
