Preliminary study of the waterfront of Palma de Mallorca

The preliminary study of the Waterfront of Palma de Mallorca was developed in the area of the Maritime promenade from the Portixol area to the Sant Carles tip.
This study is based in a geographic, historic, landscape and urban analysis, which has allowed to generate the criteria and the strategy to develop a correct intervention, with the objective of giving a correct answer to the existents problems and values in this fundamental space for the city of Palma.
That's why the project proposes a renovation of the Water Front trough the concept of "public space management", through the development of different activities which are situated in new platforms that allow the enlargement of the Front. We detail the zone in front of the old town and of the Palma beach where we project a promenade with a longitudinal dimension of 1949 meters and we design 9 new platforms.
