Competition for the Environmental and Restoration Project of the Waterfront of Calafell, Barcelona

The project is a service platform that includes an area of terraces and a new promenade that incorporates elements of urban design and shade spaces, articulating the existing vegetation (palm trees) with a dune.
The new "sand promenade" allow us to provide services on the beach with a better quality.
New footbridges that connect the city with the beach, cross the park and go straight into the sea, up to the horizon.
This new public space, presents in its beginning a "wetland" and ends on a beautiful dune landscape site.
Three unique itineraries, the sand, the dunes and the promenade are to promote urban, social, environmental and landscape quality to the waterfront of Calafell.
