The proposal of Port Canadell Special Urban Plan aims to expand an existing marina with an ecological or park concept and with a perspective based on the character of the area and the values to be preserved regarding the environmental and landscape protection of the place.
The uniqueness of the place comes from its location: at the end of a consolidated marina - urbanization, next to the road and in the Natural Park of Ampurdán Wetlands, it is a hinge place that needs a different concept of integration, based not only on in interventions inside the area to ensure a transition and a correct separation of the spaces to be protected, but also a series of interventions in the environment and proposed measures.
It will be necessary to foresee complementary interventions, with a global vision, so that the proposed development for Port Canadell sector is correctly integrated into the environment, protecting and enhancing its environmental and landscape values.
