Basic and Pre-Final Design for a Pavilion " The Music Box". Palma de Mallorca, Spain

The assignment involves the development of a basic and executive project for the construction of a concert hall detachable; an auditorium that can accommodate concerts and various cultural events.
The general concept of the proposal is the "triple skin"; a music box itself composed of three boxes, the green box or outer skin composed of a succession of acoustic green walls, the bounding box or intermediate skin composed by textile fabric and a wooden structure and the noise box or interior skin composed by panels and elements suitable for sound processing.
The volume is east-west oriented parallel to the existing promenade, the ancient wall and the waterfront.
The main public access is via the east facade by an outside circular foyer. This space and the whole surrounding plaza is treated with a new pavement inspired by artworks of Carlos Cruz-Diez.
Technical Access is by the west facade.
