Flat Renovation in a 19th century noble estate in the Eixample District of Barcelona
The project consists of the refurbishment of a flat in Barcelona's Eixample District. The building dates back to 1900 and has not undergone any substantial modifications during its more than 120 years of history.
The building was built in the Art Nouveau era but its architecture is a combination of classic and traditional elements: eclectic ornaments typical of the 19th century, hydraulic pavements etc.
The project aims to recover and preserve the details of the ceilings and the central area of hydraulic tiles that mainly mark the visual appeal and identity of each space. We suggest using contemporary furniture with light and neutral tones that integrate with the colors of the flooring and ceilings.
