The project established the renewal of an existing parking lot, which was basically a huge extension of asphalt aound a retail centre.
We propose a new civic plaza, reorganizing the distribution of the car parking spaces and incorporating new urban furniture: lamps, pavements, benches, signals, trees and semi-covered pedestrian spaces.
The main central pedestrian axis, which gives the access to the retail centre, creates a civic space that can be the first one and covered by a large wood "pergola", connects the parking space with the side streets making easy the pedestrian circulation into the plaza and making a clear separation between the car circulation and the pedestrian one.
