Urban Mobility Plan. Vila-seca, Tarragona.

This study emerges from the need to prevent with enough time the changes in urban mobility caused by the increasing of the urban area. This increases where mainly due to the new growth areas approved by the city council but also because of external factors, like the opening of Port Aventura, an amusement park nearby, or the new highway N340. All this factors added transit to the town and necessity of more parking spaces.

The final purpose of this study was established the problems of urban circulations for the municipality of Vila-seca. All this from a scientific process who allowed continue the work to quantify and justify the next stage of the Strategic Urban Mobility Plan.

This simple but strong urban tool study allows the several local councils to have a more clear view in terms of public investment construction for city equipments and parking spaces.
